My Thinglink.com channel I wrote a post a week or so ago about the power of bring still images to life using Thinglink.com. I really have enjoyed using it and the students (without any "PD") are really doing nice work with thinglink.com to include on their blogs. Mike and I are often asked what our classroom looks like. I was thinking about this and thought why not bring an image of our classroom to you. So below you see an average day of what is going on in our classrooms (Friday March 1, 2013). I used an Olympus camera to take a panoramic shot of class and then upload to thinglink and got started. I tried to note what each student was doing when the image was taken, so you can "see" the differentiation going on in any given day. You might say the "Choice" students have in our rooms. In the end, I hope this give one snapshot of a normal day in our classrooms. Let me know your thoughts or ideas. Cheers, Garth Just place your cursor on the image below and watch it come alive.

Thanks for sharing. This is great. What a great way to share student work by making your teaching/learning visible.

Thanks for the idea of using thinglink.com and the insight about the way learners work at your site and what they happened on that day to be working on.

This website is really interesting! It shows a unique way to bring a still image to life. What's neat is how you can take the details of an image that most viewers may ignore and add life to them. This could be used in many different subjects to further explain a certain concept.

Just seeing all these kids each with their own laptop to use makes me envious of your school. They should all have these resources!

Garth, Amazing in the Thinglink above how much detail of what is going on in your classroom that you were able to include and communicate to anyone who accesses your blogpage. I have saved Thinglink as a bookmark on my new Chrome book for future use when I am in a classroom.

This is an awesome tool for all subjects, but I can especially see the value with social studies and history topics. This is a great tool to help paintings or pictures come alive with detail. Your classroom looks great!

This is very cool and can be used very easily within the science classroom. I just wished I had this type of a picture when I was trying to use a schlenk apparatus (a complicated piece of chemistry lab equipment) in college. When it comes to setting up labs for my class this will be some technology that I definitely use.
