| Zaption notified me that they would be shutting down a few weeks ago while I was on vacation. They were acquired by Workday to be implemented into their new learning management system for business. Any Zaption's in your account will no longer work on AFTER SEPTEMBER 30, 2016. I must say, I was sad to read that email. I really liked Zaption and had been with them for over two years. But all good things come to an end and I am sure it was best for the people working at Zaption. | |
I was sent several emails from other Zaption Pioneers within minutes of the Zaption's email. Over the next few days, they offered many alternatives to Zaption. Here is the link to the options they provided.
I looked into https://vizia.co/ because it is free and uses a google sign in. However, I did not see any easy move from Zaption to Vizia. Edpuzzle dose offer an easy transition. In fact, I was amazed at how easy it was. See for yourself in the video below. The process took me a total of 5 minutes (that is almost 120 Zaptions into Edpuzzle and watching the three minute video).
I will be testing out Edpuzzle in the first few weeks of school and post how it goes. I will also take a look at Vizia, if they post easy directions to convert. I did download all Zaption's to my hard drive for use later, if needed.
