The second part of “Revising our curriculum” (to read part 1 click here) will have two focuses. The first is to highlight the changes we made for the rest of this school year, while the second will focus on our plans for the 2015/2016 school year.
As I mentioned in the previous post of this two part series we gathered a great deal of student feedback to help us move forward with our teaching and it was a good thing we did. Garth and I were both under the assumption that if we followed the same pattern for the remaining part of the year that students would become bored with it and want something different. |
So what will this mean for next year? Well we have decided to follow this pattern throughout the entire school year for a variety of reasons.
The first and most important reason is the student feedback, the student assessment and the outstanding work they did. They truly took ownership and become indpendent learners.
More to come as we prepare for the new year.
