This is a short clip of a 35 minute virtual presentation by Garth's students to my students in April 2010. The screen capturing software is called "IshowU" for a mac only. The clip lasts about 9 minutes. See Mike's blog on "Two become one" for more details.

This was really cool to see the interaction between Garth's and Mr. P's classes. I could get an idea of what it looked like from reading the website entries, but seeing this clip was very helpful in seeing how it all comes together. I have never "Skyped" before. As a Kindergarten teacher- I was impressed with the lesson Garth shared from his wife's classroom - using google earth to see how far away different classes were, and then skyping with them about the differences in everyone's weather. Neat stuff!

This clip was very helpful. I think the children in our middle school would love this.Teddy was great! He seemed very knowledgeable and the students were interested in what he had to say. This type of learning is very pertinent to the students. I will review this again when trying it in my class. Leave a Reply. |
