I have wanted a 360 Camera for a while. One of my student's from 1994 (my first year teaching) was showing his off on Facebook. We chatted a little bit about it on FB (He is in Texas) and I thought, "lets give this a shot."
So Amazon Prime here I come. Two days later, JC Lenk and I were messing around with it in class. The thinglink (found below) allows you to upload 360 and build in them.
Here is our first attempt. The room you start in is my classroom. We added lots of different things to see how they worked in the 360 view--mainly things about the class, student projects, and several thinglinks. Then click on the exit sign by the door to head to downtown Akron. When done in Akron click the Image in the back of the church to arrive in Kent, Ohio. Then choose if you want to go back to Akron or Beachwood.
I have already build the first one for classroom use. I will post it soon, with feedback from the students. How would you use this? What images around Ohio should we grab? Leave your comments. Cheers, Garth
P.S. Had to show Mr. Baker's (8th grade SS teacher at BMS) 7.5 pound bass he caught in my backyard--so small in the thinglink:)
