As part of our district PD day, several of us were asked to do Ignite Sessions to the whole staff. These mini presentations are designed to give people a very quick overview of a topic, without forcing them to sit for 40-50 minutes on a topic they might not be able to use. If a short presentation peeks your interest, then the hope is you will explore or learn more about the topic for use in your classroom. About 20 staff members were asked to do these quick overviews. I have to say, I have presented hundreds of times, but this one had me nervous. It was people I know; my friends. Topics included, Kahoot, Exit Pass, Lightning grader, Quick write, Chunk and Chew, Poll everywhere, and much more. I was asked to present on Pear Deck. So, below is my slide show (remember presented in 5 mins, so 15 seconds a slide) and a tutorial I made on how to create a PearDeck (see first post on PearDeck) . |
