 | Mike and I started getting tweets about two months ago from second graders in Huston, TX. They were asking us questions about what makes a hero, who was a hero and where to learn about different people they thought were heroes. Mike and I had a great time tweeting back and forth with these 7 year olds. When the tweets stopped we thought it was over, until last night. The tweet to the left came in. I have included their video and several exchanges of our tweets below. Technology makes is possible to communicate and connect with people all over the world. To think Mike, Sara Wilkie and I were able to "talk", share ideas, and help them move forward is something that could not have happened just a few years ago. If all teacher "connected" beyond their walls how might education change? The connection is possible, but do we have the courage to try? |
