Please Provide some feedback
Hello teachers! My name is Garth Holman, @garthholman and I will be leading your professional development (workshop) for the next two days. Below is a general outline of the two days. However, much of what will happen will be driven by you, so this can change a great deal as we move forward. Please feel free to reach out to Mike Pennington: @professormike1 Travis Armstrong: @dmsarmstrong |
Our objectives are to:
1. Understand how to engage your students more in your specific content--with or without Flip.
2. Give you time and guidance to produce lessons and activities that encourage student engagement and use the "Flip" model of teaching.
3. Stay in contact, via twitter, google hangouts or email to offer support, encouragement and reflection as you continue on your journey. Love to have some of you join us for a webshow on how things are working with your journey to flip your classroom.
General Overview-Monday:
1. Google PP below: Why change?
2. PearDeck: Engaged Lecture.
3. Google hangout with Mike Pennington
4. Lunch
5. Building Flips with Zaption and Thinglink
6. Share and discussion of Tuesday's meeting
7. Google hangout with Travis Armstrong
Tuesday: plan is for a full day of building flip activities with guidance or help. My hope is that you can build at least five to ten "flips" for your classroom.
