Garth Holman
Garth Holman has been teaching middle school history for 25 years. Currently, Garth teaches 7th grade World History at Beachwood Middle school, a position that he has held since 2000. Garth was an integral part in making Beachwood the first 1:1 school in the state of Ohio and has had his students building online textbooks for over 15 years now. In addition to nationally renowned classroom procedures, Garth has also been a keynote speaker and presenter at countless conferences throughout the United States. He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Akron for 14 years.

Travis Armstrong
Travis has been teaching seventh grade social studies for seven years in Dublin, Ohio. He graduated from Otterbein College in 2007 with a Bachelor's of Arts in History and a license to teach Integrated Social Studies for grades 7-12. In 2012 he began taking classes at American College of Education and graduated with his masters in Educational Technology in 2013. Over the past two years Travis has begun to work with Garth in and outside of the classroom. Inside the classroom Travis and Garth have began to take down the walls of their classroom by team teaching across 130 miles and by having their students interact through blogs, google docs, and conferencing. Travis has began to work with Garth outside of the classroom by presenting at different locations throughout the state.

JC Lenk
JC Lenk is an eleven year 6th grade social studies teacher. JC is currently working at Beachwood Middle School and worked for several years at Conneaut Middle School. JC earned his Master’s Degree at Baldwin Wallace University in the Leadership in Technology program that integrates a variety of tech tools into the classroom and school building. JC has created a paperless classroom that uses Chromebooks and free software to change the idea of what teaching and learning can be and provides ownership to his student’s. JC has started presenting at local and regional conferences to share his experiences with others.
