I love this idea. Not only a great way to use technology in class to engage students. But it gives students an opportunity to move around, be creative and really show what they know about the book they read. Some students in my class recently used xtranormal.com to create conversations where two characters explained the theme of a book they were reading.

This is interesting! It does take the oridinary writing a book report away and allows the students to really put themselves in the eyes of the character. This would help students who are fearful of writing and give them the opportunity to summarize the story in a different way. I think that the students would probably benefit more from this because it forces them to think outside the box. Plus, as a class, the students could hold their own version of the Emmy's or Oscar's and vote on the best trailer.

This is a great idea! I would love to have done this as a student. I think students would really enjoy this. You could do this in any classroom.
